This wasan interesting day with a 136km task set almost downwind. The climbs were strong and base was up to 8,000ft. It was a very turbulent day and many people had interesting stories. Curt wins the story telling by actually winning the task a minute in front of me but about 50kms from goal he hit strong turbulence and his instrument pod snapped off and fell into the forest. He lost both his GPS's so he was only able to get distance points for the day which took him out of 2nd place for the comp. I ended up winning the day making it 4 wins from 5 days.
